What do we stand for in our quest for more wellness in our society
About 2 1/2 years ago, several practitioners representing both the traditional Western Medicine disciplines and several representing the Alternative, Holistic and Alternative fields came together in Lodi, California to begin a conversation. This conversation dealt with:
- Understanding just what each of them was doing in their practice
- What the practice standards of their field are
- Understanding what are the common elements that bind the various disciplines together
- Finding if we could develop a common language so that we can discuss cases in common and develop treatment plans that include what is appropriate and most cost and time-effective to bring maximum wellnes.
- Developing the language that binds us together
- Establishing nutritional, body and movement, mind and spirit and drug working groups to create this new paradigm
- Seeing patients that have been discussed and following our initial case planning strategy
Now that we feel we have established the first working truly multidisciplinary program bringing all the critical disciplines together and releasing them from their usual isolated position in each community, we are ready to introduce our methods to the world.
